Simulator for preparation of air crew of Аn-24 aircraft allows to perform training of a full spectrum of piloting tasks in the whole permissible range of flight modes, maneuvering and landing under various weather conditions, training of urgent actions of air crew in special cases in flight and other training tasks.
Simulator of An-24 aircraft was upgraded to An-26, including: update of simulator cockpit (workstations of pilots and radio officer) for replacement of cockpit equipment of An-24 aircraft with cockpit equipment of An-26 aircraft, repairs and restoration of non-replaced equipment, introduction of navigators's workstation, missing in An-24 simulator, with instrumental equipment in the form of synthesized full-color 3D textured images on sensor LCD panels, replacement of analog computers with hardware-software suite of simulator computing unit, fitment of 4 channel hardware-software suite of computerized image generation with collimated optical display system, replacement of instructor's panel, flight data recording suite, etc.
